Rocks where I thought not

Walking across the beach I come to some red, what look like rocks. There shouldn’t be rocks here. “They are not rocks” The lady tells me “more a kind of red clay”

I nod and look at the strange shapes of clay, and red stones around. So many things about geology, and how to capture all these strange shapes I haven’t grasped yet.

“There are even some dinosaur footprint imprints further down” she tells me.

Not many people around, just her and a couple of kids out in the water – Most people are on the North side of the island…

Where the real granite rocks can be found. Around me there are only the rocks that didn’t qualify, like a collection of freak rocks, each in their own world and time.
